Why is the Lucky Bamboo plant so lucky?

The Lucky Bamboo is not just another indoor plant. This beautiful house plant holds a very symbolic meaning in Feng shui with its green stems and eye catching elegance. The true meaning of the lucky bamboo, like its name suggests, is known to bring good luck, success and prosperity. However, its arrangement holds high value and has different meanings based on the number of stalks you keep.

When I first purchased this plant, I was unaware of how much history and symbolism this plant had. I bought this plant with the mindset of having something that I wouldn’t have to take care of and would just brighten up my kitchen with a touch of greenery. I hadn’t really taken the “lucky” part too seriously. But the more I researched about it, the more I realized that this was not just an ordinary, low-maintenance houseplant. This plant resembles everything that we want more of; growth, hope, wealth, luck and good times.

Can a plant really bring luck?

Well, in my opinion, a plant will not magically change your life overnight. But the whole purpose of me purchasing this plant was because of how simple it was, yet how it brightened up my kitchen corner.

It may not bring good luck, but it does give me a reminder that good things take time. This plant does not grow rapidly like other houseplants, but whenever a new leaf pops up one day, it acts as a reminder that good things take time.
